Background

Prayer music is a very special type of music, the purpose of which goes far beyond merely providing something that is pleasing to listen to. Each piece of prayer music has a specific prayer intention that the listener is encouraged to meditate on and offer to our Lord while listening. Each and every piece is consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in reparation for all of the outrageous offenses committed against them, and for the apathy and spiritual blindness that is so prevalent in our modern world. 

The idea for this project was inspired in part by the idea of prayer blankets. Volunteers give their time and talent by creating these special blankets. During the time that they are making the blankets, they are praying over them for the eventual recipients. Many people have experienced the Love of Christ through these blankets. There have been reported healings, conversions, and other blessings from God. Prayer music is based on the same concept. I am seeking prayer volunteers to pray for this project. I ask these volunteers to pray not only for the specific intentions of each piece, but also for the eventual listeners of the music. I pray that God will grant many graces to all those who listen to this music, even if the listener is unaware of the prayerful intent of the piece. 

In addition, we invoke the powerful intercession of the Mother of God and the entire heavenly court of saints and angels. We ask that whenever a piece of prayer music is played, no matter where, when, how, or by whom, that these holy saints and angels will offer to God the specific prayer intention of that piece. We ask also that they would pray for the needs and intentions of the listeners. We pray that just the sound of the music will dispel evil. We pray also for the blessed souls in purgatory, and we ask for their prayers as well. It is our desire that as a result of this music, God will grant many graces to many people through the intercessory prayer of the Church militant, suffering, and triumphant (1 Tim 2:1 4). To learn more about the Bible and the Communion of Saints, click here. 

Free Music!

I offer prayer music as a free download. No payment is required, but if you find the music to be a blessing, or if you just enjoy listening to it, a donation is requested. This will help keep this ministry sustainable and productive. At some time in the future, I will assemble collections of prayer music into albums that will be for sale on this website.

Prayer Volunteers Needed!

For the success and intentions of this project, I ask anyone willing to become a prayer volunteer to sign up by sending me an email. This will enable me to contact you occasionally and keep you posted on the progress of the music. I ask prayer volunteers to offer up to God Masses, Rosaries, Chaplets of Divine Mercy, time spent in front of the Blessed Sacrament, Bible study, or whatever prayer form best suits you. Any time you spend praying for this project is greatly appreciated.
